Meet SalCa – Unlocking Calcium Power for Stronger Crops

Maintaining healthy soils and strong plant structures is essential for achieving consistent yields and crop quality. In many agricultural areas, however, excess sodium in the soil can block nutrient absorption, damage soil structure, and stress crops. SalCa is designed to solve this challenge.

SalCa is a formula based on a specific compound of calcium and nitrogen, where calcium is presented in a complexed, highly available form. This combination not only improves plant nutrition but also restores balance to saline or sodic soils, supporting both crop performance and soil sustainability.

Acidifying Fertilizer That Improves Soil Structure

When SalCa is applied, the calcium it provides actively displaces sodium (Na⁺) ions bound to soil colloids. By releasing sodium into the soil solution, SalCa makes it possible to leach excess salts out of the root zone with irrigation or rainfall. This process improves soil aggregation and flocculation, enhancing porosity, water infiltration, and aeration. In parallel, the acidifying effect of SalCa reduces soil pH and electrical conductivity (EC), creating conditions that favor nutrient solubility and root development.

Mobilizer of Nutrients and Root Absorption Enhancer

Beyond its effect on sodium, SalCa plays a crucial role in mobilizing nutrients that are otherwise blocked in insoluble forms. By improving ion exchange and soil chemistry, elements such as potassium, magnesium, and essential micronutrients (Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, B) become more available to plants. Inside the crop, calcium strengthens cell walls, contributing to denser, more resilient tissues. Meanwhile, the nitrogen fraction of SalCa provides an immediate boost to vegetative metabolism, ensuring optimal uptake and assimilation of nutrients during critical growth stages.

Effective Salt, Soil, and Root De-Blockifier

The dual action of SalCa — at the soil and plant level — makes it an effective tool for overcoming salinity and nutrient lock-up. By reducing the negative effects of sodicity and strengthening plant structures.
